2019 San Francisco Homeless Point-In-Time Count
Every two years the City of San Francisco conducts a HUD-mandated census of the homeless population. The Point in Time Count methodology has improved over the years and includes a visual assessment of people living unsheltered in San Francisco, a census of all shelter and transitional housing programs, and a survey of people experiencing homelessness. We combine these sources to produce the Point in Time Count Reports. The 1-night counts are conducted by Continuums of Care nationwide and occur in late January.
Volunteers are essential to a successful count! HSH is looking to recruit at least 500 volunteers to join us for the 2019 SF Point-In-Time Count.
